I like trains, but that was ridiculous.Īrrived for check in at 2pm,We were told room would be ready at 3pm,no prob we checked bags at bell desk and gambled for an hour. Other people MUST have mentioned the train noise and she probably could have put us in a room away from it if one should exist. The reason for the four stars is that the room and hotel were so nice, but apparently the front desk clerk didn't understand exactly what we were asking for. Got very little sleep the first night of a two night stay and left at 1:30 AM the second. We didn’t hear any freeway noise, but the freight trains sounded like they were coming through the room several times during the night. Figured Jasmine knew what she was doing when she put us in that room. So, there we are in 927 overlooking the train tracks. I had read many reviews here on TripAdvisor and asked to be on a higher floor to be sure we were away from the noise - freeway and especially the freight trains. Then it was too chilly, so I had to get up and shut it off.then the room went up to 80º after a bit. During the night I had set it at low cool and it got progressively cooler. The room climate was not on a thermostat, so we had to set the A/C and leave it. The rooms didn’t have black out curtains which would have been tough if I hadn’t brought my sleep mask. The room at the Main Street Station was very nice and clean which is very important, but we were there to sleep and that didn't work out so well.
